Kallika Vyas

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Sandworlds Therapy.

My name is Jane Fay and I am a therapist providing Play Therapy/Creative Arts Therapy, Jungian Sandwork, Counselling, Clinical Supervision and Training in Cheshire

Certified Play and Creative Arts Therapist in Cheshire

I am a Certified Play Therapist/Creative Arts Therapist and have my own practice in the Thelwall area, Cheshire, as well as working within schools in the North West since 2008. I have a special interest in autism, using music within the therapy space, and Jungian sandplay therapy. I am a licensed provider of Safe and Sound Protocol, a specialist music listening programme for children and adults, which is used alongside creative arts therapy/play therapy. I obtained my Diploma in Play Therapy from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2010, and obtained my post-graduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision from the University of Derby in 2016.

I am trained in Axline and Gestalt play therapies, solution focused counselling for youth, and also utilise Theraplay Informed Practice and Autplay Therapy within my session work with children.

Adults can attend for Creative Arts Therapy, which includes Jungian sand work as well as other creative media.

Play Therapy for Children (Ages 3–11)

I offer a safe, therapeutic environment where play therapy can be fully explored by children in a way that suits them the most, for ages 3-11. Many children need help and support while growing up. Some have emotional and behaviour issues that prevent them from fulfilling their potential, or hinder school learning. Some studies indicate that up to 20% of children may have some form of psychological problem. Statistics by one professional body state that around 83% of children can experience a positive change through play therapy.

Creative Arts Therapy for Adolescents and Adults

For adolescents/teenagers, creative arts therapy can be provided using art, clay, therapeutic games, counselling, music, sand/image work among other mediums.

Creative Arts Therapies for adults may help with anxiety, stress, phobias, depression, past trauma, concern about the future, not fulfilling potential, lack of confidence/low self esteem, bereavement or loss, and anger management.

Clinical Supervision for Therapists/Counsellors

I also offer Clinical Supervision for play therapists, art therapists, sandplay therapy practitioners and counsellors who work with children. The supervision can be online or face to face in Thelwall, where creative materials are on offer for those supervisees who wish to use them for creative supervision. Please enquire about availability and session cost.
